It is difficult to hit a target when you do not know where it is
There is a world class archer named Robin Wood who is able to take a bow and arrow and hit the center of a target 50 yards away. He is then able to take a second arrow and spit the first arrow.
We can guarantee that you can shoot a bow and arrow more accurately than Robin Wood. What if we were to blind fold Robin Wood and spin him around so that he would not know what direction the target was?
This is the same thing as operating without a plan. How could you possibly hit your target if you do not know where it is?
